Equity work is an essential part of my practice and my life. This includes doing my own ongoing identity development and integration work; examining internalized white supremacy, patriarchal capitalism, and colonizer frameworks, and how this is deeply embedded in my engagement with relationships and systems. This includes a commitment toward reparations and wealth redistribution as a white-bodied private practitioner. I take a percentage of my monthly practice earnings and support Healing Justice. Feel free to explore Healing Justice here: https://nqttcn.com/healing-justice/ (Formerly, National Queer & Trans Therapists of Color Network).

It is for this reason that I do not offer a sliding scale fee structure within my private practice.

I also intend to maintain a portion of my practice for interstate clients who do not have access in their home state for therapy that holds an intersectional and affirming stance around liberation practices and striving to dismantle the empire within. I’m eagerly awaiting the Interstate Counseling Compact that will allow professional counselors licensed and residing in a compact member state to practice in other compact member states without need for multiple licenses. This program is in it’s pilot stage but will be available this year.
